Master of Arts in Child Study and Education
Do you want to be a teacher? Do you have a passion for education?
Are you interested in learning how to provide an exemplary education for students using theory and research?
If YES! we invite you to consider our program, which offers the opportunity to earn both elementary teacher certification (JK - Grade 6) and a Master of Arts degree at the same time.
Our program is well-suited to individuals interested in child-centered, evidence-based practice focused on developmental readiness and inquiry. Some of our students are interested in further graduate studies.
This video was filmed at an event for new students to better acquaint them with the program, but will be helpful to applicants as well. Click HERE to watch personal insights that we hope will bring the program to life. Our friendly Director Clare will be your guide - enjoy!

We are excited to offer two field of study options: Practice-Based Inquiry (PBI) and Research Intensive Training (RIT). Field of study details are provided under About the MACSE.
You don't need any research background for our program! We want students to think critically, learn how to read and critique a range of studies with both qualitative and quantitative research methods, and understand how research can inform practice and address problems in classrooms. If you are in RIT, you will also be expected to be able to produce a research product through working closely with your supervisor.
