Laboratory School Admissions
The Dr. Eric Jackman Institute of Child Study Laboratory School welcomes applications from all interested
Committed to diversity in all forms, the Laboratory School admissions policies and practices support gender- balanced, equitable classrooms with broad-based populations representing racial, ethnic, cultural, and socio- economic diversity.
The school currently has a waiting list of applicants for admission across the Nursery School to Grade 6 levels. Each year we admit approximately thirty children. Twenty children enter the Nursery School each September. From Junior Kindergarten to Grade 6, spaces become available only if a child leaves the school. We are not able to offer tours of the school to those on the waiting list until there is a space in view.
The admissions process for the Nursery school begins in January and ends in March of each year. We will contact you if we are able to consider your application in the year your child turns three years of age.
For those families on the waiting list whose child will be turning 4 years of age, we have an enriched 2-year satellite kindergarten program in partnership with Bloorview School Authority. For more information on this program, please click here.
